Congratulations to Rodney Hill of Flagler Palm Coast High School for being voted the scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for October 24-30th!

The 5-foot-11 205 lb junior linebacker and running back is an absolute powerhouse. Hill was nominated for his outstanding performance against Nease High School on October 14, 2022 where he had a 98-yard interception return in the fourth quarter as the team rose victorious and advanced to the playoffs. Hill already has 99 tackles and 4 sacks this season.

Hill is a dynamic, explosive, fast and smart player who works both sides of the ball with precision and skill. The 4-star talent is both a team player and playmaker with great intuition. In 2022, he was named the MVP of the Under Armour All-American Camp Series stop in Miami.

He is an impressive recruit with a 3.1 GPA and 13 offers so far from programs including the University of Tennessee, Wake Forest University, Georgia Southern, University of Pittsburgh, University of Rhode Island, University of Central Florida and Florida Atlantic University.

As we continue to watch the Flagler Palm Bulldogs and Hill compete this season we are excited to see where his football career will take him.

Congratulations to The Bolles School’s Running Back Ty Neal for being voted scoutSMART’s Florida High School Player of the Week for October 17-23!

The 5-foot-11 sophomore has been a force to be reckoned with this season. Neal had a standout performance Friday, October 7, 2022 against Tru Prep Academy with 12 carries for 100 yards and 3 TDs. He had incredible play with a 39 yd TD run to boost the team’s energy and bring home a win.

Neal is a promising young player to watch on and off the field. He excels in the classroom with a 4.18 GPA and spends his free time investing in his team and community. Ty Neal is a young man who is driven, determined and he is one heck of a football player. He has a bright future ahead of him and we are excited to see where his football career may take him.

Congratulations to Wharton High School’s Quarterback Jackson Jensen for being voted scoutSMART’s Florida High School Player of the Week for October 10-16!

The 6-foot-3 junior led the Wharton offense to a 43-0 win on Friday, Sep 23, 2022 over Sumner High School with 226 passing yards and 3 TDs with one being a 39-yard touchdown pass. Jenson won the MaxPreps Offensive Player of the Game for his standout performance. In his most recent game against Newsome High School Jensen completed 24-35 passes at 68% with 340 passing yards and 4 TDs.

​​The impressive player has multiple D1 received offers from Ole Miss, University of Arizona, Penn State University, University of Rhode Island, and the University of Toledo to play at the next level.

Jensen is a playmaker on the field and is getting the recognition he deserves for his hard work. He has absolutely been lights out this season! We are looking forward to seeing what is next for this remarkable athlete, he is sure to have a bright future ahead of him.

Congratulations to Cocoa High School’s Quarterback Blake Boda for being voted scoutSMART’s Florida High School Player of the Week for September 26-October 2!

The 6-foot-4 senior has been a force to be reckoned with this season. Boda had a standout performance Friday, September 16, 2022 against Space Coast High School where he had a perfect night with 16/16, 302 passing yards and 7 TDs. Then again on Friday, September 23, 2022 he had 314 yds and 5 TDs. Boda was voted Max Preps Overall Player of the game for both performances.

The impressive player received his first D1 offer and scholarship from Bethune-Cookman University in May 2022. Followed by an offer from Shorter University in June. Boda was recognized on the 100 Elite Prospects Quarterback Position Rankings in August 2022.

Boda is a player to watch on and off the field. He excels in the classroom with a 4.1 GPA and spends his free time investing in his teammates and community. Blake Boda is driven, hard-working and has a bright future ahead of him.

Congratulations to Westminster Academy’s linebacker Michael (Mikee) Varga for being voted scoutSMART’s Top Florida High School Player for Week 3.

The sophomore helped lead his team to victory on Friday, Sep 09, 2022 over St. Brendan Christian with 7 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Forced Fumbles and Fumble Recovery. Varga was also named MAXPREPS Overall Player of the Game for his performance. In the team’s most recent game against SLAM Palm Beach, Varga put up impressive numbers with 11 tackles, 5 TFL, 2 sacks and 1 INT.

The impressive young player has a bright future ahead of him. After completing his freshman season at Coral Springs Charter School, Varga transferred to Westminster Academy where he is clearly proving himself to be a valuable and influential player on the team’s roster.

“Michael plays the game with a lot of energy and passion. He is an old-school type of player who loves to hit,” Westminster Academy’s Head Coach Ehren Wallhoff said. “I love having him on our team because he is a tough nose football guy.”

Congratulations to Westminster Academy’s Quarterback Anthony Barbar for being voted scoutSMART’s Top Florida High School Player for Week 2.

The junior captain led his team to victory on Friday, Sep 02, 2022 over Bradenton Christian with 376 yards, 2 TD’s and a 2 pt. conversion. Barbar was also named MAXPREPS Overall Player of the Game for his performance.

The impressive young player received his first D1 scholarship offer from Florida Atlantic University on September 5th, 2022. His ultimate dream is to play football at the collegiate level.

Last season Barbar was named to the Florida Class 2A All-State High School Football Team in February 2022 as QB Honorable mention. In 2021 he was named to FHSAA All-State, All-County and All-Conference QB.

Barbar is a leader on and off the field. When he is not working on his footwork and mechanics with his teammates and coaches, he works diligently to give back to his community, to better himself and walk in humility and selflessness. In his free time, Barbar volunteers with both Food for the Poor and Homes United. He is also a member of Ignite Student Leadership, Gallaway Student Leadership, and completed the Youth Leadership Broward program.

When asked what sets him apart as a leader, he said, “Being a leader is the most important part of my job as QB. Being a leader means serving my teammates and encouraging each of them to be the best they can be.” He worked hard in the offseason with his coaches to grow as a player and we are looking forward to watching him and the rest of the WA Lions compete this season.

Congratulations to Dunnellon High School’s Offensive Linebacker Maxwell Valcius for being voted as scoutSMART’s first Florida High School Player of the Week!

The senior linebacker had a standout performance Friday August 26, 2022 against Ocala West Port High School. He absolutely dominated the field with 5 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 FF and a blocked punt. Suffice to say this powerhouse senior OLB will be a player to watch this season.

Valcius received his first D1 offer from Stetson University in May of 2022. This summer he attended summer football training camps at major programs including the University of Florida and Florida State University.
