Juan Gainous, a 6’3” 215-pound Senior Quarterback at Olympia High School, is the Florida Player of the Week for Week 6. This season Juan has more than 1,200 passing yards and 14 passing TDs. Juan has focused on improving his running game resulting in more than 250 rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs. Juan is also strong in the classroom and maintains a 3.92 (weighted) GPA.

Juan’s recruitment remains open, and he and his coaches continue to stay in contact with several college programs. He is looking for a program that fits his playing style and where he feels at home.

Juan is excited about what this season brings and stated “I am hoping my teammates and I can lead our team deep into the playoffs and make a run at a state championship. I just really want to cap off my high school career on a high note, for me and for my team”.

Congratulations to Dylan Cook, Quarterback at St. Augustine who was voted the Week 5 Player of the Week. Dylan passed for 3 touchdowns to 3 different Wide Receivers to led St. Augustine to their first win over Bartram in five years.

Head football Coach Brian Braddock stated, “Dylan is a young man with high character and is also an excellent quarterback. It is no surprise to us that when he was called upon he was ready and performed at a high level.”

Congratulations to Marcus Mitchell Jr, a 5’9” 225 Running Back at Flagler Palm Coast High School who was selected as the Florida Player of the Week.

Cat Bradley, Assistant Girl’s Soccer Coach at Flagler Palm Coast, stated in her nomination, “Marcus Mitchell is only a junior and breaking records and making a name for himself. On Friday night [9/15] in a high intense, in county rival game. Flagler Palm Coast played the Matanzas Pirates. Marcus scored 4 touchdowns and had 288 yds rushing. It was the Marcus Mitchell show all night long. A poised and humble young man had the stadium in cheers and applause all night long. He was literally running through pirates defense all night. This is just the beginning for Marcus. As they say, he’s built differently”.

Marcus is working hard in the classroom as well and has a 3.3 GPA. He also participates in FHS7v7A during the offseason.

Michael McClenton, a Sophomore DE at Ocoee High School is the Florida player of the week for September 1st, .In a win over Wekiva, Michael disrupted the offense with 20 tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 7 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.  Michael also volunteers to help kids learn football over the summer at a football clinic with a local pastor.

Congratulations to Dakota Brower, the Oak Hall High School Junior QB, who was voted the scoutSMART Florida player of the week for his performance on 8/25. Dakota is a dual-threat QB who has led the Oak Hall Eagles to a 3-0 record.  During week 1, the 5’11”, 185-pound QB was 5/7 for 194 yards passing and 1 TD. He had 4 carries for 36 yards in a 43-0 win over St. Joseph Academy. Dakota also participates in special teams and defense. Dakota has a 3.9 GPA and is on the varsity Track and Basketball teams. He participates in FHS7v7A during the offseason.

Congratulations to Chason Clark of Bradford High School for being voted the scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for December 5-9th!

The 6-foot-3 linebacker has had an outstanding junior season. He totaled over 70 tackles, 11 TFL and 5 sacks. Clark was an integral key in Brandford’s 12-2 record this season and he was the team leader for both sacks and tackles per game and receiving yards per game. In September, Clark was selected as the Max Preps Defensive Player of the Game in the team’s game against Baldwin.

Clark has a 3.3 GPA, and is actively being recruited by multiple D1 programs. He is an intuitive, competitive and skilled athlete, but it is his determination and drive that set him apart.

Bradford’s football season came to a close Friday Dec 2, 2022 when they lost in the State Semi Finals to the Cocoa Tigers, yet there is still time to watch Clark take the field this year. Clark was named a 2022 US Army Bowl All-American and is set to play in the bowl game on December 17, in Dallas, TX.

Congratulations to Kaleb Lampkins of The Bolles School for winning this week’s scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for November 21-27th!

The sophomore wide receiver and kick and punt returner has been a playmaker this season.Lampkins totaled 233 all-purpose yards, 70 receiving yards with 1 TD, 117 kick-return yards and 49 punt-return yards. Lampkins is a quick, explosive and intuitive player who has made major plays all season long.

During the off season, Lampkins is also a member of the track and field team. The young athlete is naturally gifted with his speed but it is his work ethic and determination that set him apart. It will be fun to see what the future has in store for him.

Kaleb Lampkin and the Bolles Bulldogs play at home this Friday, November 21, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. against Raines to see who will take home the Regional Championship Title and advance to the Final 4 of the 2M State Playoffs. This will be a close match-up so be sure to watch.

Congratulations to Jeremiah Rhem of Trinity Catholic High School for being voted the scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for November 7-13th!

The junior 6-foot-2 linebacker from Ocala, FL has been on fire this season! He is an around impressive athlete who dominates both sides of the ball as a linebacker, strong safety and wide receiver. Rhem has 58 tackles and 11 sacks this season and has been integral to his team’s 6-2 record.

On October 24th, Rhem was selected to the All-District team for District 7. Then in their game on Oct. 28th against P.K. Younge High School Rhem had a standout defensive performance with 3 sacks, 6 solo tackles and a TD reception. This secured the Celtics a 51-7 win, the district championship title and a seat in the state playoffs.

Rhem is a dynamic and skillful player who is making a major positive impact for the Celtics football program. Be sure to watch their first playoff game vs Father Lopez High School of Daytona Beach on November 18, 2022 at 7 p.m.

Congratulations to Evan Tempro of Westminster Academy for being voted the scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for October 31- November 6!

The 6-foot-4, 210 pound junior linebacker and wide receiver has been a player to watch this fall. He has 370 receiving yards, 39 tackles and 4.5 sacks this season and has truly been unstoppable. In the Lion’s game against Pine Crest on October 21, 2022, Tempro put up impressive stats with 5 catches for 72 yards, a 79 yard kickoff return for a touchdown and 4 tackles with 1 TFL.

Throughout the season, Tempro has been a playmaker. He was awarded on October 7th, as the Maxpreps Defensive player of the game against Bishop Snyder where he had 10 tackles, 4.5 TFL, 1 sack and he also led the team with 97 receiving yards, a TD and a 2 pt conversion. On October 14th, Tempro was recognized again as the MaxPreps Overall Player of the Game with 8 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks and 3 catches for 61 yards.

Tempro is a dynamic player who is effective on both sides of the ball. He is a dependable, consistent and competitive asset for Westminster Academy’s football program. The team’s season came to a close on Friday, October 28, 2022 as the Lion’s took their second loss of the season to Jupiter Christian in the first round of the SSAC State Championship Tournament.
